Ring Automotive Initiates Voluntary Recall for Select RTC6000 Models
Ring Automotive has identified a potential issue affecting certain batches of these products. Specifically, a fault in the lithium-ion battery protection loop may allow the battery to become overcharged, posing a potential risk of overheating or malfunction.
While the likelihood of malfunction is considered minimal, out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to initiate a batch recall of the affected Ring/OSRAM RTC6000 models. We have formally notified and are coordinating with regulatory authorities in all regions to ensure the recall is conducted in compliance with all applicable local guidelines.
Although only the RTC6000 and RTC6000FR have had reported issues, we are extending this precautionary recall to include RETC6000 models, as these share identical components and specifications.
