Ring’s breathalysers meet new NF standards

From 1st April 2016, the French government introduced a new NF standard (equivalent to British Standard) that all NF breathalysers must legally adhere to. Ring is proud to say that our NF breathalysers are manufactured to these new standards, and are one of the only factories which currently hold the new certificate.

Products and services that have a NF certification must pass regular checks and conform to the NF’s three tangible commitments:

Control – products and services are tried and tested and companies are periodically audited.
Quality – high-performance products and services that comply with the requirements set by the standards, and additional requirements responding to market requirements.
Safety – safe products and services that can be used with peace of mind.

All vehicles travelling to France must by law carry two NF approved breathalysers. To make sure you’re complying with this French legislation, look no further than Ring’s RCTBR3 twin pack of disposable breathalysers. Ring also offer a comprehensive European travel kit (RCT1). The kit includes the following contents:

• Twin pack of NF-approved breathalysers
• Warning triangle
• Two high visibility jackets
• Universal bulb kit
• Set of beam converters
• GB sticker
• First aid kit
• Foil blanket
• All packed in a compact, easy to store carry bag

All products are manufactured to UK required standards where applicable.
The RCT1 has everything you need to be able to drive legally in the majority of European countries.

Specialist advice

When travelling abroad, we always suggest you research before you leave to find out exactly what you need to conform to the regulations of that country. This will give you peace of mind that you won’t be breaking the law and risking fines.

For those selling or holding stock of breathalysers, stock produced before 1st April 2016 can be sold up to the expiry date of the product without issue.
