Ring Tyre Gauge wins Auto Express Best Buy 2018

Ring is delighted to have won its first product award of 2018, with the RTG4 Digital Tyre Keyring Gauge winning Auto Express’ Best Buy Award in the magazine’s most recent product test. The RTG4 was awarded five stars, and rated as the best of the eight products reviewed.

The gauges were tested on both alloy and steel wheels, with readings taken and compared at 20, 25 and 30 PSI to assess accuracy. Usability was a key consideration, with the best gauges allowing enough time for the user to take all four tyre readings without having to reset, and extra points awarded for having a backlit screen and integrated LED light.

Ring’s RTG4 Digital Tyre Keyring Gauge came out as the winner of the 2018 Best Buy accolade. It was praised for its “petite proportions”, making it “handy for glovebox or door pocket storage”, and the reviewers “liked the backlit screen and nose torch, which remained on once selected”. The Auto Express team also praised that the gauge stayed on for up to 70 seconds, with each pressure remaining visible for 12 seconds, “making it practical for all four tyres”.
