Be prepared before driving on the continent

In many countries across Europe it is the law to carry certain items in your vehicle when driving. Not having these items can result in on the spot fines. Some of the products are obvious such as having a your national sticker for the vehicle, but some are less obvious - for example, alcohol breathalysers are required in France.

Our advice is to always check the regulations of the country you are visiting and those of the country you will be visiting. Also:
• Always carry your documents
• Carry out basic car checks prior to travelling
• Adjust your headlamps for driving on the right if form the UK
